Dreaming Lips Reviews

Schell, married to ailing concert violinist Fischer, has an affair with more famous violinist Von Dongen. Then she sees the error of her ways and returns to her husband, who never learns about her transgressions. This is a competent, though uninspired, film version of Henri Bernstein's play. The 1937 version had the rather Victorian denouement of the straying wife killing herself in shame. (In German.)
