Dracula's Last Rites Reviews

This ultra-low-budget effort out of upstate New York features a bald mortician named Lucard (need we point out what his name spells backwards?) who is really a vampire. In fact, Lucard is the head of a vampire coven, which includes the local sheriff and doctor, who feed off hapless motorists unfortunate enough to wreck their cars in the vicinity. The barely living victims are discovered by the sheriff, taken to the doctor, declared deceased, and then brought to Lucard's mortuary, where their blood is consumed by the hungry city officials. Lucard seem particularly obsessed with sinking his teeth into the necks of a family named Fonda. Why? No one knows. This film is incredibly inept technically and gives the audience a chance to play "spot the camera equipment," with plenty of camera cases, light stands, and microphones plainly visible throughout.
