Common Clay Reviews

This story of a speakeasy hostess sullied by men, but who pulls herself out of the gutter and emerges as a defiant heroine, was touted at the time as being a lady's magazine story foisted on a tabloid generation. Ayres' third picture, it appeared four months after the great ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT. Remake of the 1919 silent film.
