City Streets Reviews

A tear-jerker portraying a crippled orphan, Fellows, who turns to fatherly Carrillo for moral and material sustenance. There is some humor as Carrillo tries to please the kid and buck well-meaning welfare representatives. He sells his store to pay for an operation for the paralyzed Fellows, becomes impoverished, and eventually loses her to the state. Carrillo strives to regain her, accomplishes the feat, but dies of an illness contracted while fighting for her release.
