Montie Montana and Yakima Canutt were two of the best stunt riders in Hollywood. However, neither man was a particularly inspired actor, so it probably goes without saying that the Willis Kent-produced western Circle of Death is at its best when concentrating upon fast action and minimizing the dialogue. Rescued in infancy during a massacre, a white man (Montana) grows up among the Indians as Little Buffalo. Remaining loyal to his Indian companions, Little Buffalo nonetheless finds time to save a white cattle rancher from the villainies of outlaw chieftain J. F. Henry (Henry Hall). Yakima Canutt co-stars as Little Buffalo's comic sidekick Yak, a character carried over from the John Wayne "Lone Star" westerns. Several Native Americans appear in the supporting cast, including a bewitching young lass named Princess Ah-Tee-Ha.
