Blind Date Reviews

Stupid slasher thriller set in Athens about a blind advertising man (Bottoms), who has been fitted with a special computerized sonar "camera" that allows him to "see," although not well. Despite his handicap, he sees a murder in progress and eventually manages to track down the killer, a scalpel-wielding lunatic who carves up numerous scantily clad young women. Besides a dose of gratuitous gore (to balance out the gratuitous nudity), the special effects for the blindman's camera are nonexistent, consisting only of a sonar device that looks like a Sony Walkman. Gaping holes in credibility and a great deal of obvious filler material doomed this one to a brief run at the theater and then straight to the video store.
