Antoinette (Renee Kelly) is a wealthy American heiress and she is surrounded by foreigners, with titles and without, who are vying for her hand -- and her cash. Finally, she tires of her suitors' materialism and escapes to a New England village. She pretends to be a simple girl, determined to be liked only for herself or not at all. Eventually she attracts the attention of an honorable, red-blooded American male. He marries her, but only on the condition that they live on his salary of 25 dollars a week until he makes it in the railroad business. Of course, he's finally successful and all ends well. This comedy-drama was adapted from the Rupert Hughes novel, All for the Love of a Girl.
