His publicity earns him an invitation by China's leaders to lead a caravan into Chungking for delivery of medical supplies. Nelson's military mission proves successful, as does his romance with Day. Released just a few weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbor, A YANK ON THE BURMA ROAD was the first picture to deal with the incident--its only memorable quality.
