Of course the two most polite superheroes in the DC comic universe kick things off with a handshake. What else would you expect from Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin)?
That's right James (Mehcad Brooks), you may not be ready to tell Kara you love her but that doesn't mean you're ready to let her hang out with tall, handsome (and also single) dudes with super powers of their own.
Barry Allen can't make a visit to National City without a taste of Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart). He seems that he gets scooped up into one of her infamous rage meetings along with Kara, James and Winn (Jeremy Jordan).
As you can see, Cat isn't that excited about whatever has prompted this meeting, or having a relative stranger in the heart of her media headquarters. How many times do you think she'll threaten to fire Kara in this scene?
Oh, well it turns out Cat really doesn't have anything to be happy about. Livewire (Brit Morgan) and Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) will get a hold of her before the end of the episode. Now we see why Supergirl and The Flash need to team up.
Wow Siobhan, being fired is not a good look for you. The Silver Banshee getup is absolutely terrifying.
The outside light isn't helping to make the Silver Banshee's look any less frightening
Silver Banshee won't be exacting her revenge alone. Livewire is also back to take down Cat Grant and she looks as menacing as ever.
If you're going to take down two bada-- villains determined on getting revenge, you're going to need backup. The Flash will get to see inside the DEO, and its new recruit - Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan-Tatum).
It's hard to tell whether Lucy is less stoked about seeing Supergirl, whom she resents for taking so much of James' attention, or if she's mad there's a metahuman from another universe in the top secret alien hunting headquarters.
It looks like the mask is coming off inside the DEO. Maybe since it is an alternative universe Barry doesn't have to be so worried about people finding out he's The Flash?
There's not a lot of time to hang around because The Flash and Supergirl apparently make their way to Silver Banshee's and Livewire's lair.
Yup, the burgundy still plays in an alternate universe and a different channel. Just checking.
Uh oh, Silver Banshee and Livewire don't look excited to be going against the fastest man on earth and Supergirl at the same time. Tough break, ladies.
Seriously, Barry is getting really comfortable in National City. Maybe he'll consider it an alternative universe vacation?
It wasn't that long ago that Barry was also in a hero's learning curve. It looks like he and Kara will have a chance to have a nice chat outside on the CatCo terrace.
It may have started with a handshake, but before all of this is over The Flash and Supergirl are definitely on hugging terms. We love it.
