The cast of Life Unexpected was joined by Kate Voegele and Bethany Joy Galeotti of One Tree Hill for a musical episode that also featured Sarah McLachlan, Ben Lee and others. Find out what the cast had to say about the crossover in our behind-the-scenes photo gallery.

"Watching Liz with Ben Lee was probably a highlight of the entire crossover episode," Shiri Appleby says. "Her eyes lit up like she was standing next to insert teenage crush here."

Baze will spend most of the crossover episode in concert jail, where he'll grow closer to Emma. "They're like my new favorite couple," Liz Tigelaar says. "Her character makes his character a better man."

"This season the guy that Lux loves took off, and a guy that she bounced back with turns out to not be the guy that she thought he was or could be," Tigelaar says. "In this episode, it's all kind of about moving on."

Because of the similarities between Hayley and Cate, Tigelaar jokes: "This is insane. How did our show even get on the air? These characters are so similar! It was a great discovery."

"Watching the girls sing brought the Britney out of me," Appleby says. "I asked our director, Jerry Levine, to shoot me singing to their music. It was a huge highlight for me. I gotta say, not as easy as it looks."

"Bethany Joy and I have known each other since we were kids on the audition circuit," Appleby says. "It was great spending time together to catch up. She has been doing OTH forever so she had a ton of advice about how to create a life and still work a zillion hours."

"It was raining cats and dogs on the one day all the musicians had to perform," Appleby says. "I felt so badly for them but they really stepped up to the plate and delivered."

Lux and Tasha's friendship will hit a snag when Tasha gets closer to Jones. "There's this feeling in Tasha, like, 'How did you get everything? We're the same,'" Tigelaar says. "She just wants a piece of what Lux has."

"Having Sarah McLachlan on the show was a huge deal to all of us," Appleby says. "When I met her I told her that my high school graduation song was 'I Will Remember You.' She was super sweet about it, although I'm sure she's heard that a time or two before."
