2 of 19 NBC

Leslie Knope from Parks and Recreation

You don't need a waffle obsession or major political ambitions to become Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) from Parks and Recreation. What you do need, though, is to emulate her windswept blonde hairdo (there's a wig for that, by the way) and a modest skirt suit, preferably in light gray. If you want to really nail the look, add a Leslie Knope ID badge and/or her signature campaign button to the garment to ensure everyone knows you're coming in as Pawnee's brightest star this season.

3 of 19 NBC

Gabriela Dawson from Chicago Fire

Suiting up as the unconquerable Gabriela Dawson (Monica Raymund) from Chicago Fire is easy enough as well. You can go super simple with a Molly's Pub t-shirt, or you can go all-out and sport a gray or navy Chicago Fire Department shirt with a full-on firefighter costume.

4 of 19 HBO

Selina Meyer from Veep

To achieve Selina Meyer (Julia Louis Dreyfus) from Veep's signature style, opt for a bright red blazer and accessorize with an American flag pin and thick costume pearls.

5 of 19 Fox

Cookie Lyon from Empire

Bring some serious sartorial sass to the table when becoming Cookie Lyon (Taraji P. Henson) from Empire. Some fashion options for her include a bold colored faux fur collar, oversized sunglasses, a leopard print dress and/or an animal print fedora.

Galina 'Red' Reznikov from Orange is the New Black

If you're ready to become the Russian chef who's always got a bone to pick with someone, Orange is the New Black's Galina "Red" Reznikov (Kate Mulgrew) is also a very achievable aesthetic. The choice of prison scrubs is vast -- you can go traditional with orange or tan or even choose navy blue to draw on the most recent season -- but consider adding on a simple grey sweatshirt (worn only half-zipped, of course), a purple eyeglass chain with some faux specs, and her wonky eyeliner style.

7 of 19 ABC

Olivia Pope from Scandal

You might think dressing up as Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) from Scandal would require a designer connection, since her threads tend to be pretty lavish, but you can still replicate the look on a budget. The trick is to snag a chunky white coat or sweater, a ruffled or geometric patterned blouse, and a pair of savvy heels, and voila. Bonus points if you also tote a red wine goblet which sports her signature phrase, "it's handled."

8 of 19 NBC

Janet from The Good Place

Fork yeah you want to be Janet (D'Arcy Carden) from The Good Place. She's an immortal library of information and a hoot to boot. Simply don a purple vest suit with a bow tie collared blouse and a pair of vintage-looking box heeled pumps, and holy shirtballs, you'll look amazing.

9 of 19 HBO

Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones

Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) from Game of Thrones has a lot of titles -- Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons -- so it's not surprising there are a lot of costuming options for becoming her as well. Whether you want to rock her chiffon dress from the first season (and tote around some dragon eggs for good measure), her blue gown from Qarth, that iconic blue cloak from Season 3, the white dress from her time in Meereen, her black battle uniform, or even her white snow coat from the most recent season, almost all options are on the table. Just match any of those garbs with a white-blonde wig, and you're set.

10 of 19 NBC

Olivia Benson from Law and Order

Becoming Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) from Law and Order: Special Victims Unit could be as simple as rummaging through your closet for a very sharp dress suit, but you'll definitely want to sport a police badge on your belt and flatten your locks to achieve the look.

11 of 19 AMC

Michonne from The Walking Dead

You don't need to drag out a couple of jawless walkers on chains to become Michonne (Danai Gurira) from The Walking Dead, but toting her katana bag and wielding her signature sword will be key. To complete the look, you can also invest in a wig to emulate her steezy dreads along with a patterned earthtone bandana, fingerless gloves, and a brown vest.

12 of 19 CBS

Abby Sciuto from NCIS

If there's one TV character whose look is absolutely unmistakable, it's Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) from NCIS. To do it right, spring for her white lab coat, ID badge, goth chic getup, onyx pigtails, and severe buckled boots.

13 of 19 NBC

Karen Walker from Will and Grace

Cheers to anyone who's interested in bringing the lovable lush Karen Walker (Megan Mullally) from Will and Grace to life this season. All you'll need is a form-fitting, two-toned suit, a dark brown updo (opt for an extension if necessary), and perhaps even a prop martini.

14 of 19 The CW

Kara Zor-El from Supergirl

If you're looking for a fun female superhero's shoes to step into this year, Supergirl's Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) is a sublime option. The good news is her costume is already ready-made, and all you'll need to find is some over-the-knee red boots (but you can also sub in some high socks instead of springing for those kicks).

15 of 19 CBS

Michael Burnham from Star Trek: Discovery

Another ready-made small screen costume option is Star Trek: Discovery's special scientist Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), whose suit is already available online. An alternative to going exact with it, however, is to opt for a similar shirt and her magnetic badge.

16 of 19 Hulu

June from The Handmaid's Tale

The handmaid's costumes from The Handmaid's Tale have been widely adopted as political statements (oh and, um, an inexplicable sexy version that somehow happened), but that doesn't mean you can't become June (Elisabeth Moss) this year anyway. All you'll need is her red dress, bright red cloak and a white bonnet to bring your own little piece of dystopia to life.

17 of 19 HBO

Maeve Millay from Westworld

Since Maeve Millay (Thandie Newton) was definitely the stand-out from Westworld's second season, you might be interested in going as her this Halloween, and to do so you'll have to be a bit brave, since her most recognizable wear is that sexy saloon costume with her throwback costume jewelry and lacy finger gloves.

18 of 19 AMC

Kim Wexler from Better Call Saul

Jimmy McGill-slash-Saul Goodman is intriguing and all, but the real standout of Better Call Saul is Kim Wexler (Rhea Seehorn), the stoic lawyer extraordinaire partner who's been testing out the reaches of her own immorality by association with him lately. To achieve her appearance, you'll need to sport a parted sandy blonde ponytail with a tight curl at the end alongside a slim-fitting business suit with a pencil skirt. Oh, and those gold triangle ear studs are absolutely essential.

19 of 19 BBC Worldwide

The 13th Doctor from Doctor Who

Last but certainly not least, you can celebrate Doctor Who's first female Doctor (Jodie Whittaker) by sporting that first rainbow-striped shirt and suspenders look we got of her in character. It's instantly iconic.
