• Nicknamed Scout by her mother, after the To Kill a Mockingbird character, due to her tomboy disposition as a child
• At 10, played Christopher Robin in a children's theater production of Winnie the Pooh
• Acted with cousin Gwyneth Paltrow in a 1999 Williamstown Theater Festival production of William Shakespeare's As You Like It
• Appeared in the 1999 video for Canadian rock band Our Lady Peace's "Is Anybody Home?" Made her TV series debut in 2000 on the short-lived WB drama Young Americans, playing the cross-dressing Jake Pratt
• Big break came in 2003, when she was cast as Shane McCutcheon on Showtime's The L Word
