Young Sheldon has doled out fun surprises for fans of The Big Bang Theory all season long. There have been explanations for why grown-up Sheldon (Jim Parsons) is the way he is, and origin stories for beloved Big Bang bits. And the Season 1 finale is going to contain another really big one.

"I can say that there's a lovely Easter egg at the end of the episode that I think people should not miss," Young Sheldon co-creator Steven Molaro tells TV Guide.

We're not going to spoil it, but we'll say that you're going to want to watch this live, because it's going to light the Big Bang Theory part of the internet up.

Young Sheldon's Theme Song Is by Steve From Blue's Clues, of All People

Elsewhere in the episode, titled "Vanilla Ice Cream, Gentleman Callers, and a Dinette Set," Meemaw (Annie Potts) is pursued by two men -- her current beau, nerdy professor Dr. John Sturgis (Wallace Shawn), and furniture store owner Ira Rosenbloom (Richard Kind), who dated Meemaw previously and realized he can't live without her. Sheldon (Iain Armitage) prefers John, and Meemaw would prefer Sheldon stay out of it.

Molaro says that he and the other writers didn't go into the season knowing that so much of the story would revolve around Sheldon and Meemaw, but that's where the muse took them.

"That's how Chuck Lorre tends to write," Molaro says of his superproducer co-creator. "We're not much for arcing out long storylines. We kind of feel our way through one episode at a time and hopefully the characters let us know where they want to go and we try to let things grow organically." The close relationship between Sheldon and Meemaw is one that blossomed over the course of the season.

Find out what kind of relationship agreement Sheldon and his Meemaw work out in the season finale of Young Sheldon Thursday, May 10 at 8:30/7:30c on CBS and CBS All Access.
