Law & Order: SVU returns to NBC this autumn for its triumphant 20th season, starring Mariska Hargitay as Lt. Olivia Benson. The show from Dick Wolf will tie its season count this year with both the program it was spun off from, Law & Order, and the long-running classic western series Gunsmokeas it works on becoming the longest-running live-action scripted American prime-time series in television history.

This season, Asst. D.A. Peter Stone (Philip Winchester) will get closer to the team than ever, while dealing with his personal fallout from losing his sister at the end of last season. And it had seemed like Fin (Ice-T) might be leaving the squad after finally getting promoted, but we'll learn in the upcoming season that the new Sergeant is going to stay put after all. So Detectives Carisi (Peter Scanavino) and Rollins (Kelli Giddish) haven't seen the last of Fin quite yet... and neither have we!

Season 20 of Law & Order: SVU returns to NBC on Thursday, September 27th at 9/8c for a special two-hour premiere, before returning to its regular 10/9c time slot the following week. But if you're already booked that night and can't watch the season debut, then you can stream these new episodes from NBC.com, Hulu, or from fuboTV. Be sure to get caught by all the action and drama of this long-running series!
