Is it possible that when Andrew Lincoln leaves The Walking Deadwe'll see Rick get a well-earned happy ending?

AMC released new photos from Season 9 that show that Rick (Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) are in for at least a brief moment of idyllic happiness in Lincoln's final episodes. The new photo shows the couple standing in a field with Rick's daughter Judith (Chloe Garcia), as if they were looking for a nice spot for a picnic rather than trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. Maybe it is just a fantasy or a dream since "happy endings" are not actually a thing on the gruesome drama.

The Walking Dead Is Adding a Very Good Boy to the Cast

It's not all good news though, because again, we're talking about The Walking Dead. Another new photo shows a cry for help painted on a wall readings, "Saviors save us!" But the smaller message under the plea reads, "We are still Negan," which means there's still a contingent of the group not willing to let the ethos of their former leader go. The question is, whose head are they most thirsty to bash in with a baseball bat?

The other new photos are pretty standard affair: zombies being crucified and Daryl (Norman Reedus) hanging out looking stressed and badass.
