Was Toby the real killer?

Was Toby Flenderson (Paul Lieberstein) the Scranton Strangler? The Office's official Youtube account sure wants you to think he is.

In a hilarious spoof of Making a Murderer, The Office's YouTube account compiled all the best mentions of the notorious Scranton Strangler in such a way that we're now left seriously wondering whether or not the mild mannered HR rep Toby was actually behind the murders.

Dwight (Rainn Wilson) always seemed like a good guess, considering he fits the profile of "bizarre recluse, who involves himself in the investigation," but after watching archive footage of Toby and his obsession with the case, it hard not to wonder why he got so invested. He conveniently found his way onto the jury for the trial, and then he went to visit the convicted killer in jail. He even came out with a convenient "strangling injury" after the visit, which seems a little over the top. Was Toby actually framing that poor guy all along?

Anything will start to look suspicious once you put that Making a Murderer intro over it.

All nine seasons of The Office are currently streaming on Netflix.
