Sarah Palin Says Sacha Baron Cohen Tricked Her Into a "Truly Sick" Interview

This interview must be bad

Sacha Baron Cohen's new Showtime series may sound like a hoot, but Sarah Palin is seriously not laughing.

Palin took to her Facebook page on Tuesday to rail against Cohen for "duping" her into giving an interview to him for his new series, Who Is America?

"I join a long list of American public personalities who have fallen victim to the evil, exploitive, sick 'humor' of the British 'comedian' Sacha Baron Cohen, enabled and sponsored by CBS/Showtime," Palin writes

Palin says that Cohen disguised himself as a disabled US veteran, "fake wheelchair and all," in order to get her to sit down for an hour-long interview filled with sarcasm and disrespect. She had apparently been told the interview was for a legitimate Showtime documentary to honor American vets, but she eventually ended up walking away from the interview. Though she calls the interview tactics "truly sick," she challenges CBS and Showtime to donate all the proceeds from the episode to a charitable group honoring vets.

Sacha Baron Cohen Is Going to Make America Cringe Again with a New Showtime Series

She ended the post with one last callout, writing, "Feel good and manly about your M.O., Sacha? By the way, my daughter thinks you're a piece of ****, Sacha. Every honorable American Vet should feel the same."

Who Is America? premieres Sunday, July 15 at 10/9c on Showtime.

(Full Disclosure: TV Guide is owned by CBS, Showtime's parent company)
