There's another dead guy in Riverdaleand poor Betty (Lili Reinhart) has to help clean it up!

Listen, we'd much rather be talking about how Betty and Jughead (Cole Sprouse) not only teamed up to solve a mystery but got back together and had sex, but naturally all good things have to come with a major WTF moment on Riverdale.

When Betty finally returned home from her Bughead reunion, she found her mother Alice (Madchen Amick) scrubbing the blood of some unknown acquaintance of Chic's (Hart Denton) off the Cooper dining room floor. The mysterious gentleman had come knocking on the door at dinner time looking for the Coopers' estranged son and something violent went down to leave him dead in the middle of the floor.

Riverdale Accidentally Confirmed Betty and Jughead Will Be Back Together Soon

Chic was seen cowering in the corner out of shock or fear so the audience is none the wiser about what actually went down after Alice answered the front door earlier in the episode. The big reveal now automatically makes Betty an accessory to manslaughter, but is she going to have to protect her brother or her mom?

We know that Betty has a dark side where she's willing to torment high school sexual harassers and do strip teases in biker bars, but we have to believe that covering up a dead body seriously screws up Betty's moral compass. Plus, the chances that either Alice or Chic will tell her exactly what happened are slim to none and this is another mystery Betty will have to solve before she can make the right decision, but there's not really time for a full investigation.

How far is this new crime going to push Betty to the dark side?

Riverdale continues Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
