Get ready for a very sinister game of cat and mouse in Mindhunter's second season.

The first trailer for Mindhunter Season 2 is here, and it looks like the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit is going to finally begin its long pursuit of the BTK Killer. In the footage, agents Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) and Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) are shown seeking out insight from their serial killer source, Edmund Kemper (Cameron Britton), who knows that they are in over their heads with this one.

Mindhunter Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

"Have you got somebody, Holden? Someone you can't catch?" he asks with his usual air of creepy composure. "This person you're after, he has an overwhelming fantasy life. Fantasies of what he's done, what he wants to do. His dreams will consume him. Soon the real world won't even compare."

If that's not disturbing enough, Kemper also informs them that if their mark is "any good," he won't be caught. As crime historians and/or anyone with access to a search engine will know, that's almost true; the actual BTK Killer, Dennis Rader, managed to toy with and elude authorities for decades before finally being caught in 2005.

The trailer also hints at the new season's focus on the Atlanta Child Murders of 1979-81 and gives us a first glimpse at some of the team's newest interviewees, Charles Manson (played by Damon Herriman), and David Berkowitz, aka the Son of Sam.

Mindhunter Season 2 arrives on Netflix on Friday, Aug. 16.
