Dewey Crowe is headed to Mindhunterin Season 2! Collider reports that Justified's Damon Herriman has been tapped to play Charles Manson in David Fincher's psychological drama, a role he should be quite familiar with. He'll also play the notorious cult leader in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which chronicles the Tate murders carried out by the Manson family. Sources say that by the time Herriman was cast in Once Upon a Time, he'd already wrapped his Mindhunter scenes. Either way, he must be great if he's being asked to take on the same role in two different projects!

Best Performances: How Mindhunter's Cameron Britton Found Ed Kemper's "Vibe"

Mindhunter follows a pair of FBI agents (Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany) and a professor (Anna Torv) who try to better understand serial killers in an effort to stop them through intensive research and interviews. Season 2 will tackle the Atlanta child murders of 1979-1981, a period in which Manson was already behind bars. The series will likely profile Wayne Williams, the man found guilty of two of those Atlanta killings who was sentenced to life in prison. No word yet on whether Ed Kemper (Cameron Britton), the only serial killer we'd ever want to grab coffee with, will return for Season 2, but we've got our fingers crossed.

Netflix has declined to comment on Herriman's rumored casting.

Mindhunter's second season doesn't have a premiere date, but you can stream Season 1 on Netflix.
