DC Universe's latest superhero series, Doom Patrol, is right around the corner (it premieres Feb. 15), and Warner Bros. has dropped a teaser for the Titans spin-off that leans into the goofy fun of it all. "More TV superheroes, just what the world needs," the voice-over says sarcastically. It's a post-Deadpool superhero show.

The Doom Patrol superhero team (first introduced in 1963) is sort of like a bizarro X-Men. "Each member of the Doom Patrol suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities, but also left them scarred and disfigured," is how Warner Bros. puts it. "Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found their purpose through The Chief, coming together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence."

The team -- introduced in the trailer -- is made up of Robotman, aka Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser), a former race car driver whose brain was transplanted into a robot body after a catastrophic crash; Elasti-Woman, aka Rita Farr (April Bowlby), who developed the power of stretch after being exposed to a toxic gas; Negative Man, aka Larry Trainor (Matt Bomer), a pilot with negative energy powers; Crazy Jane, aka Kay Challis (Diane Guerrero), who has 64 personalities, each with their own superpower; and Cyborg, aka Vic Stone (Joivan Wade), a cyborg. He's the one who calls the team to action when the Chief (Timothy Dalton) mysteriously goes missing. Together, these misfits will embark on a journey of self-discovery that may also lead to them saving the world.

Doom Patrol premieres Friday, Feb. 15 on the DC Universe streaming service.
