Comic-Con 2018: Everything We Learned From The Flash Panel

Big things are happening in Season 5 of The Flash! The entire cast dropped by Comic-Con on Saturday to tease what's ahead for the upcoming season, including the new big bad Cicada played by American Pie alum Chris Klein.

His character is described as a blue-collar family man who is obsessed with the Flash and poses a threat the gang has never seen before. It also looks like Nora will be stuck in the past, but her relationship with Barry and Iris will raise questions about what happens in the future. Tom Helbing says Nora will cling to Barry but will keep her distance with Iris because of something that happened during her time. This doesn't sound good.

During the panel, Helbing also teased that there will be "a lot of deaths this year." Oh no!

On a more positive note, Barry is getting his suite upgraded, and he'll finally get his Flash ring! Plus, you may see King Shark and Gorilla Grodd battle it out, though that's not yet set in stone. What has been confirmed is that an LGBT character will be added next season. No word yet on who that might be, but we're glad to see the Arrowverse expanding to include more diverse characters.

The Flash will reach a major milestone this season when it airs its 100th episode, which will be directed by Tom Cavanagh and serve as the midseason finale.
