When dealing with television show cancellations, it's important to look at the bright side. Hey guys, Josh Holloway is available to star in a new show!

USA Network has canceled Colony after three seasons, Deadline reports. The sci-fi series was brought to life by Carlton Cuse and Ryan J. Condal, and starred Holloway as a resistance fighter against an alien occupation of Earth. Unlike most alien invasion series, Colony started well after the invasion and avoided the typical blowing up of national monuments as the aliens assert dominance. Another gimmick of the show was its reluctance to show the aliens, instead focusing the tension between humans who were resisting and humans who were following alien orders.

But in the currently airing third season, the show finally delivered an alien... and it was a robot! Yes, alien robots invaded Earth, and they were actually on the run from a larger, more threatening alien race. Presumably, a fourth season would have brought those dudes into the picture.

The series finale of Colony airs Wednesday, July 25 on USA.
