22 Episodes 1992 - 1993
Dick Wolf's iconic American procedural drama "Law & Order" continues its tales of the NYPD detectives who investigate homicides, and the members of the District Attorney's office who prosecute them, in Season Three of the series. Most of the regulars from Season Two return this time around - including Det. Logan (Chris Noth), Capt. Cragen (Dann Florek), A.D.A.s Ben Stone (Michael Moriarty) and Paul Robinette (Richard Brooks), DA Adam Schiff (Steven Hill), and - initially - gt. Phil Cerreta (Paul Sorvino), although Senior Detective Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) arrives in mid-season and replaces Phil Cerretta. Cases this season include the slaying of a sleazy pimp/photographer in his studio, the malfeasance of a pacemaker manufacturer that inadvertently causes a teen's death, the discovery of a sweatshop worker's corpse in a nearby river, serial deaths at a diabetes clinic that the men trace to computer hackers, and many more.
