Our top moments of the week: 11. Best Explanation: Remember when Gwen Stefani Adele Dazeem-ed Stephen Colbert's name at the Emmys? According to Adam Levine, Stefani was super-nervous backstage, even after he offered a helpful mnemonic device. "We're going up there, and the whole time she's like, 'I can't pronounce Colbert. I can't pronounce it,'" Levine says on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. "I was like, 'If he wins, think: cold bear.'" Of course, Stefani went with...
Our top moments of the week: 13. Best Affair to Remember: Bachelor in Paradise goes behind the scenes when contestant Michelle K. hooks up with a sound guy. But when producers find out and knock on their door, the sound guys freaks out and takes a page from a romantic comedy by jumping off the balcony. Wait, it gets better: He breaks his ankles. Interviewing him in the hospital Chris Harrison makes a point to ask...
For late night host Conan O'Brien, the tragic news of Robin Williams' passing came during the taping for Monday night's broadcast of his TBS show. In the video below, O'Brien breaks the news to a stunned audience, explaining, "We tape these shows a few hours early and by the time you see this now on TV, I'm sure that you'll know. I'm sorry to anyone in our studio audience that I'm breaking this news. This is absolutely shocking and horrifying and upsetting on every level."
This week, members of the Orange Is the New Black cast took over Conan for an episode, and it was glorious. Also, a farmer serenaded a team of cows with a trombone rendition of Lorde's "Royals," and the Internet found a new celebrity in "Apparently Boy." Taylor Swift made us sniffle when she visited a 7-year-old cancer patient, and Nina Dobrev and Jimmy Fallon entertained us with a game of Giant Beer Pong. Check out those clips and more in our weekly roundup of the best online videos:
Conan has already taken on Lyft and video games, but now he's bumbling his way through Tinder — and he's taking Dave Franco along for the ride! Tans gone wrong In the utterly charming video, Conan and Franco create dating profiles for themselves under the names Chip Whitley and Djengus Roundstone. What follows is a hilarious rivalry over a 74-year-old woman, a van trip to track down one of Franco's matches and countless instances where Conan's ego gets knocked down a few pegs.
Our top moments of the week: 13. Best Brushes with Death: Despite Mike's misgivings, Johnny goes undercover to befriend Carlos, a high-rolling criminal on Graceland. Just when it seems Johnny has won him over, Carlos challenges him to a "friendly" gun duel and of course cheat by drawing early. He's about to squeeze the trigger, when his concerned sister interrupts. Whew! Moments later, Johnny escapes death a second time when...
"Love doesn't make sense," hopeless romantic Ted told almost-runaway bride Robin last week in the penultimate episode of CBS's long-running romcom How I Met Your Mother. That episode ended, as we knew it would, with Robin and Barney tying the knot, because as Ted concluded in his Speech That Sums The Series Up: "Love is the best thing we do." True words, but even truer were these words: "I won't lie, that was a long weekend."
Conan O'Brien and his producers had a little fun on behalf of Jeopardy and particularly host Alex Trebek on Monday's episode of Conan. During his monologue...
Conan O'Brien has been tapped to host the MTV Movie Awards, the host announced on his show Tuesday night. "After eight years of intense negations, I am honored to announce I am hosting MTV's second most prestigious awards show," O'Brien said. Dancing with the Stars: Meet the cast O'Brien follows Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson, who hosted last year's ceremony.
House of Lies star Kristen Bell says that shooting this season's sex scenes with her co-stars Adam Brody and Don Cheadle was extra awkward — because she was seven months pregnant with her daughter, Lincoln.
Our top moments of the week:10. Strangest Showstopper: On The X Factor, it's not the three finalists that everyone is buzzing about but judge Paulina Rubio, who performs her song, "Boys Will Be Boys." Dressed in what appears to be an armored black teddy topped with marabou feather epaulets, Pau Pau is a vision in fetishwear as she prances around on stage, whipping ...
Simplicity can be a helpful thing for an effective thriller — and that, sadly, is an attribute CBS's overwrought, underwatched Hostages (Monday, 10/9c) lacks altogether. The more complications this show introduces, the sillier it threatens to become. It's hard to imagine a subplot of less interest than the money problems of foxy hostage-taker Sandrine ...
The entire Breaking Bad cast appeared on Conan Monday night and (thankfully) barely touched upon the show's upcoming series finale. Instead of giving viewers an hour of vague teases that don't reveal anything, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul and the rest of the gang did what they do best: entertain the hell out of us.
After rumors starting spreading in April that the Friends cast was going to reunite, many fans of the NBC sitcom were fooled — and surprisingly, one of the show's stars. "The graphic for this one thing was unbelievable," Lisa Kudrow said on Conan, describing the website that touted the Friends reunion. "It looked...
Our top moments of the week: 11. Best Revenge: On Royal Pains, Evan's latest campaign stop gets off to a bad start when a local berates Evan about his platform. As he rants, a large umbrella comes loose and its sharp stake stabs the man in the behind. What a pain in the butt! 10. Message Received Award: When Brody Jenner learns that his dad, Bruce Jenner, and the rest of the...
Our top moments of the week: 11. Creepiest Closing Shot: On The Killing's season premiere, Detective Linden is lured out of hibernation when Holder, her former partner, brings her a case that bears striking similarities to a murder that sent her down the rabbit hole three years prior. Linden convicted Ray Seward (a super-creepy Peter Sarsgaard) for the crime, but was she wrong? Her doubt kicks into overdrive when the evidence leads her to a swamp ...
The Hangover Part III may be hitting theaters next weekend, but the real-life hangovers have ended for star Zach Galifianakis. During an appearance on Conan this week, Galifianakis told host Conan O'Brien that he quit drinking after a tipsy late-night incident in Manhattan.
ABC released previews for its new shows on Tuesday, including Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, Rebel Wilson's new comedy Super Fun Night and an extended peek at the highly anticipated Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Our top moments of the week: 12. Best Fighting Words: While Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey are busy pulling each other's pigtails over on American Idol, the coaches on The Voice get snippy because they care. After Blake Shelton picks country singer Holly Tucker over the eclectic Luke Edgemon, Adam Levine is outraged. "Let me explain why...
Our best moments of the week: 12. What's in a Name? Award: Is the world big enough for two famous Adam Scotts? After Adam Scott the golfer won the Masters, Adam Scott the actor was predictably inundated with jokes. And he's sick of it. "The jokes were really lame," the Parks and Recreation star vents on Conan. "'I can't believe anyone could mix up the two Adam Scotts. They're "Poehler" opposites.' 'Hey Adam, you know what's way below par? Your acting.' ... I mean this with nothing but love in my heart, but, please, can everybody shut the hell up?" Impressed with how Scott handled the situation, Conan presents Scott with....
