David Spade and Conan O'Brien used to work together on Saturday Night Live in the early '90s. On Monday's Conan, the two old friends reminisced about those halcyon days.

Spade told the story of how the late Chris Farley began doing the "fat guy in a little coat" bit that eventually ended up in the movie Tommy Boy. Farley, apparently, would get bored when he and Spade were supposed to be writing, and would put on Spade's jacket to annoy him. The best ideas so often start out ridiculous.
