According to Reuters and the Hollywood Reporter, NBC is quietly working with Access Hollywood chatterbox Tony Potts on a "highly energized new daytime show live with a studio audience." Good, because frankly, I'm sick of those low-energy talk shows whose studio audiences are dead. The proposed program would also feature beaucoup interactive elements designed to make the network scads more dough... I mean, designed to bring the action even closer to viewers.
KAPLAN OK'S KOTTER
Responding to the news that a big-screen version of Welcome Back, Kotter is in the works — with Ice Cube in the title role and the locale switched to South Central L.A. — Gabe Kaplan told Access Hollywood, "It's totally acceptable. I think it could work and I think [Ice Cube] is the perfect guy." Asked to flesh out the cast, Kaplan suggested "Snoop Dogg will play Horshack and Vanilla Ice would play Barbarino."
