Douglas, who was diagnosed with throat cancer in August, underwent multiple chemotherapy and radiation treatments for the illness.

The 66-year-old actor says he reduced his alcohol and tobacco intake, two substances which can cause the cancerous growth. "I'm sure I'm still going to have a glass of wine or two, but this particular cancer was motivated in a large part by alcohol and tobacco smoking," he said.
Douglas, who has begun preparations for his next role as Liberace, is nominated for a Golden Globe in the best supporting actor category for his work in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. He plans to attend the ceremony on Sunday with his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones.
