She's baaack!
Katie Couric will return to TV this fall when her daytime talk show, Katie, premieres on Sept. 10, executive producer Jeff Zucker announced on Thursday.
Zucker, the former head of NBC and Couric's old producer on Today, announced the additions of director Joe Terry, a 14-year vet of The Oprah Winfrey Show, and co-executive producer Kathy Samuels (Rachael Ray, Access Hollywood). Zucker also unveiled the show's logo, which can be seen here.
Will Katie Couric save General Hospital?
Katie will air daily, live in front of a studio audience, from New York.
"Katie and I are thrilled to share these updates with our partners and Katie's fans," Zucker said. "We now have our studio, a great-looking logo that exudes all of the qualities that we want the show to convey, and a terrific team with a diverse background of experience. We couldn't be more excited about September 10. It's going to be a lot of fun."
Couric left Today in 2006 to anchor the CBS Evening News. She exited that program in May and has been serving as an occasional correspondent for ABC, which is producing Katie.
