Countess Elnora (Pola Negri) comes to the United States to live with relatives to forget her love affair. She soon becomes the subject of small-town gossips who question her moral fiber. Holmes Herbert plays the moral crusading district attorney Richard Granger, with Guy Oliver as Judge Porter. The highlight of the film is Chester Conklin, who provides much-needed comedy relief.
