The Raging Tide Reviews

Conte plays a tough San Francisco mobster who takes it on the lam after killing a rival gang member. After failing in his effort to locate his girl friend (Winters) so that he can establish an alibi, Conte stows away on a small fishing boat owned by Bickford and his young son, Nicol. After he is discovered, Conte is surprised to find that he is accepted by the father and son. He soon gets a taste of what it's like to perform honest work for a living, and he finds it to his liking. Meanwhile, a detective, McNally, searches for Conte by using Winters. Eventually, the net draws tight, but Conte sacrifices his life to save Nicol. A bit maudlin, but a good cast performs admirably.
