Summer Camp Nightmare Reviews

A peaceful summer camp turns into the scene of violent revolt in this odd youth drama. Camp North Pines is suffering severe budget cutbacks, so the full-time staff is minimal and headed by Mr. Warren (Chuck Connors), a strict disciplinarian. The campers grow restless and revolt under the leadership of the charismatic Franklin Reilly (Charles Stratton). There are some interesting ideas at work here, and, with more focus on the issues and less on the lascivious doings of the campers, this movie might have worked. Stratton is very good as the leader of the rebellion, but the whole thing falls flat as the result of Bert Dragin's limp direction.
