Secret Evidence Reviews

Secretary Reynolds is in love with McTaggart, a no-good crook--only she doesn't know he's a hood until he's hauled off to jail for four years. While he stews in prison, the overly-cautious Reynolds marries an assistant district attorney and settles down. (She really wants to make sure her beau is no gangster this time.) McTaggart serves his time and upon his release seeks to reunite with Reynolds. Before he gets too far, however, McTaggart is shot to death by a hoodlum associate and the crime is blamed on Reynolds' kid brother. This leads to the inevitable courtroom scene where Reynolds must convince the court and her husband of her brother's innocence.
