Second Time Lucky Reviews

A mindless, cutesy comedy in which the Devil and God make a bet that if Adam and Eve were given a second chance, they would still fail their test. Wilson and Franklin, as Adam and Eve respectively, are seen as a couple of intellectuals at a party who are quickly transported to the Garden of Eden. They pass their test and are then beamed into the Roman era where temptation must again be resisted. This silly game goes on in WW I, Prohibition, and the present (with Adam as a rock star). Anderson, who's directed some respectable pictures in the past (AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS [1956]), fails miserably with this one. Besides, why would anyone cast Morley as God? Isn't that role saved for George Burns?
