In the second entry in the series, the teenage sleuth enters a newspaper contest and heads to a courtroom to cover a murder trial, where she deduces the young lady charged with the crime just might be innocent and sets out to prove it.

Granville wins a newspaper contest and gets to play reporter. Naturally, she attacks the new task with her customary zeal and in no time she solves a murder, captures the criminals, and clears a suspect's name. Implausible, but entertaining for the youngsters, this was the second of four films based on writer Carolyn Keene's popular character.
