Korean War vet Jim Sterling (Don Taylor) falls in love with a Japanese nurse (Shirley Yamaguchi) and brings her back to his California home as his wife. His neighboring farmers still harbor anti-Japanese sentiment from WW II and try to break up the marriage, but to no avail.
