Strangely plotted Autry oater has the singing cowboy playing a circuit court judge presiding over a murder trial where the accused claims he has already served time for the killing. Years before, the murderer, thinking he had killed his swindler partner, was tried and sent to jail. Unbeknownst to him, his victim lived and assumed a new identity. When the killer was released from prison and discovered he had served time for a murder he didn't actually commit, he tracked the ex-partner down and did the job right.
