In the 1930s, a mountaineer (Frederic Gorny) returns to his Alpine home after the death of his father, and sets out to conquer the imposing Mount Blanc and win the heart of an Italian heiress (Silvia de Santis). The film was adapted from a trio of novels written by Roger Frison-Roche, and was previously shot in 1943.
