Season 8 continues the animated antics of the Griffin family. Among the highlights are an appearance by Jesus, who mediates a religious dispute between Lois and Peter; a "Spies Like Us" parody that features Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd as government agents who move into the neighborhood; and a "Star Wars"-themed outing in which Stewie is Darth Vader and Chris is Luke Skywalker. Season 8 also included an episode that Fox refused to air. "Partial Terms of Endearment" had Lois agreeing to be a surrogate mother for a friend, but the woman unexpectedly dies and Lois is forced to make a life-altering decision.
