Season 8 of the reality show is an All Stars season and features the return of non-winning contestants from previous seasons. It's filmed in New York, with the finale taking place in The Bahamas, and is hosted by veteran Padma Lakshmi, joined by judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons and Anthony Bourdain. Among the chefs competing for the $200,000 cash prize are New York native Richard Blais, runner-up in Season 4, Italian chef Fabio Vitali, who placed fourth in Season 5, and self-trained Tiffani Faison, who was runner-up in Season 1.
