Season 3 continues to follow obsessive-compulsive private detective Adrian Monk (Tony Shalhoub) as he assists the Homicide Division of the San Francisco Police Department while also searching for his wife's murderer. His cases involve a chimpanzee murder suspect, infiltrating organized crime, being placed in the U.S. Federal Witness Protection Program and a trip to Sin City. In addition, the hunt is on to find a new assistant who can handle his OCPD and 312 phobias, which include ladybugs, heights, crowds, imperfections, messes and milk. The season's guest stars include Carmen Electra, Alicia Coppola, Niecy Nash, James Brolin and the band Korn.
