It doesn't take long after arresting her, however, for Goren to suspect that she is being framed, and why. The challenge facing the Detectives is proving it, while not tipping their hand to the real culprit.

Goren and Eames start investigating the activities of Danny's domineering mother, who disliked both women and wanted to protect her son from them.

Goren and Eames realize that Jenny's requests for additional security measures were interfering with illegal activities at the airport, and that the people harassing her were trying to force her to resign. But it seems unlikely that Jenny would ever asks for help from any of her known enemies, and so the detective duo start investigating the only co-worker which Jenny apparently liked and trusted. An apparently charming man with con-artist tendencies and anger-management issues.
