Series creator and executive producer Dick Wolf's second "Law & Order" spin-off tells each story from the criminal's point of view. Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe star as Dets. Robert Goren and Alexandra Eames of the Major Case Squad; Jamey Sheridan portrays their superior, Capt. James Deakins; and Courtney B. Vance plays ADA Ron Carver. Season 1 gets underway when a jewelry heist turns deadly. Other cases feature an apparent murder-suicide; a lawyer (Griffin Dunne) who may be killing his mistresses; the disappearance of a plastic surgeon's wife; the death of a judge's clerk in the magistrate's home; and a suspected copycat killer. Dets. Logan (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) from the original "Law & Order" also make an appearance in a case that involves a string of cyanide-poisoning deaths.
