Season 4 of the crime drama sees Dets. Robert Goren (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Alexandra Eames (Kathryn Erbe) tackling an array of major crimes, beginning with the disappearance of a controversial radio personality. Other cases include the kidnapping and killing of a famed atheist; the radiation poisoning of a physicist's research partner; and the slaying of a vintage-toy collector. Guest stars include Robert Carradine, Neal Patrick Harris, Melissa Leo, Tatum O'Neal and Bronson Pinchot. In addition, Chris Noth reprises his "Law & Order" role of Det. Mike Logan, who helps Goren and Eames investigate the murder of a prison guard; and Olivia d'Abo returns as the nefarious Nicole Wallace, Goren's arch-nemesis.
