After Brian renews his interest in his Twitter account to join a protest, he starts tweeting on a regular basis. His tweets gather little attention, until, he makes a racially insensitive remark about a film before seeing Baywatch. While watching the film in the theater, Brian's tweet goes viral, with many negative comments about it, and he exits the theater to encounter an angry mob awaiting him, who then chase him all the way home. Brian then deletes the tweet, as well as all his social media accounts, in an attempt to stop people from being angry at him. However, despite this, Brian, as well as his family, are treated as pariahs. Brian's attempt to apologize to the angry mob also fails, and Lois then tells him that he needs to move out of the house and live somewhere else, for the safety of the family and himself. Shocked from this, Brian packs up, leaves the area in his car, finds a run-down apartment and settles in there.

Meanwhile, Brian spies on his neighbors after getting his leg injured, he notices Principal Shepherd acting strangely. Brian assumes that Principal Shepherd has killed his wife and he enlists Stewie to get some incriminating evidence. However, Principal Shepherd confronts Brian and Stewie for spying on him. Brian gets injured again and he has to go to the hospital. Joe and his officers find the bag Principal Shepherd has thrown out, only to discover that there is cafeteria food. Principal Shepherd reveals that his wife left him and he tried to provide himself by eating food from the cafeteria. At the hospital, Lois allows Brian to live with the family again.
