Episode 1
A riot at the local football match brings several casualties from opposing factions. Megan buries her husband. Duffy is now a single mother to a baby boy. New doctor Julian Chapman gives new doctor Beth Ramanee a telling off, and it's pizza and salt & vinegar crisps for tea.

Episode 2
A couple of addicts hijack Keith & Jane's ambulance and get stoned on various substances. Some students overdo their exam result celebrations; a lorry has brake failure and Jimmy tries his luck with Jane.

Episode 3
Jimmy wakes up in a woman's flat and later comes to the rescue when a patient's briefcase is stolen. A firefighter realises his career is over. Megan has a run in with a psycho mum and a date with social services bloke Tony.

Episode 4
Patients include a runaway girl; a dutiful, lonely son who wishes to be free of his mother; a pair of shoplifters; an illiterate man with an acid burn; a young thug with a flirtatious girlfriend and a hooker with hepatitis and a horrible pimp.

Episode 5
A man makes suicide by Valium into a game of hide and seek; a former boxer sorts out some unruly bus passengers; Tony invites Megan to Paris. A cop pursues a junkie with enthusiasm and Charlie has yet another car.

Episode 6
Duffy narrowly avoids being run over then gets chatted up by the driver; a young woman is seriously injured when two fools have a car race; a man's religious beliefs won't allow his daughter kidney dialysis.

Episode 7
Distressed at the death of porter Harry, Charlie phones in sick and then goes to the pub where he is chatted up by drinking girl Lucy. Julian visits Charlie and gives him an Alcoholics Anonymous card. He also gets a visit from Lucy. Duffy is propositioned by another patient who is even more unsuitable than the one in the previous episode; a model takes a fall and an old lady wishes to conceal a large amount of cash from her husband.

Episode 8
Ash deals with repeated suicide attempts, Megan helps reunite a family, and Julian tackles an emergency operation on a taxi driver who has been stabbed.

Episode 9
A gas explosion on a canal barge leaves a woman having an affair with horrific burns; Duffy's childcare issues continue and an anorexic girl causes concern among the staff.

Episode 10
Paramedics Josh and Lily are faced with a life-threatening situation when they answer a call to an isolated house; the team battle to save a schoolboy who has tried to hang himself and Megan receives an unexpected visit from Tony's wife.

Episode 11
Jimmy's new girlfriend, a student nurse, causes trouble for Jimmy in the department; a racist warehouse foreman and a worker arrive after inhaling chlorine fumes and a man brings in his difficult mother and asks Julian to end her life.

Episode 12
Julian's weekend "war games" are halted when his gaming partner is admitted with an injured ankle; a diabetic woman finds Ash a comfort and Megan and Beth try to unlock a family secret that could explain a young girl's suicide attempt.

Episode 13
A schizophrenic man arrives after an accident but it's discovered he has shot his wife's friend dead suspecting an affair. When he sees the police, he is spooked and holds Megan at gunpoint in resus - can she safely be rescued by Charlie?
