She quickly gets into trouble with Siobhan for sharing her delicious cookies with Rida and Cam. Casualties are admitted from a wedding in a barn which caught fire. Other patients include frequent flyer Claude who has his pet cat among his possessions in a shopping trolley and a pregnant woman with dog bites. With Dylan in earshot, sly puss Stevie gets Matty to reveal his mum's name - which is of course Sarah. Dylan looks on in a mixture of shock and disappointment. Dylan questions Malcolm Sutton, the man believed responsible for the road traffic accident, played by Brookside and Casualty veteran Michael Starke, and suspects it may have been deliberate. We don't do torture here". She then has to fill in a form at the oncology room. Hurt and angry, she writes and underlines "No uterus" in answer to the "Are or could you be pregnant?" Siobhan gets to work to predictably get a ticking off from anxious Flynn. Indie wants to get closer to Cam, but he's reluctant. Teddy has a word. Veteran actor Derek Griffiths appears as another victim of the RTA - the sight of his ankle tag makes Stevie shudder. Kim has astutely and correctly sussed that the nail in foot patient is in a controlling and/or abusive relationship and expresses this view to Stevie. The two of them talk to Bryn, without his partner present, and he confirms Kim's suspicions. Dylan has an idea about what might have caused the RTA and looks for Malcolm Sutton's notes on the computer, but finds that Matty is already viewing the file. Dylan chats with Matty, who refers to his birth father as "the semen (sp) donor" who was binned due to his alcoholism and other unlikeable qualities. Faith's scan reveals her to be further along than she thought. Iain vows to support her. Stevie and Kim clock on at the local pub for bacon cheeseburgers, fries and booze. Siobhan receives news that her rapist almost certainly used a condom and that no DNA evidence could be found. She also counsels the person from the car boot - the 13 year old sister of the driver who stowed away with the intention of gaining access to a rock festival. Teddy's inexperienced and keen cop girlfriend Ashley, unaccountably operating unaccompanied, fervently arrests Jacob's son Blake who loosely fits the description of the knuckle duster attacker. Kim redeems herself magnificently by making a diagnosis and carrying out the treatment in defiance of mentor Stevie Nash. Although this saves the patient's life, Kim quits the job but does agree to get treatment for her medical condition.
