In the fourth season of this family-cop drama, Frank (Tom Selleck) must deal with an NYPD inspector (Bebe Neuwirth), and he's not happy about his police force being subjected to this extra level of scrutiny. One of the inspector's first targets is Eddie (Vanessa Ray) a rookie who's been partnered with Jamie (Will Estes). Jamie lands in plenty of hot water himself throughout the season, including a suspension and a civil suit. However, things get downright dangerous for Erin (Bridget Moynahan), who's legal work leads her to get abducted—twice. Meanwhile, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) faces several blasts from the past, including an old girlfriend who's dating a drug dealer, a childhood pal connected to the mob and a troubled military vet who stirs up dark memories for him. Wahlberg makes his directorial debut with the episode "Manhattan Queens."
