Season 6 of the comedy series sees a lot of changes in the family's dynamics. Jack (Miles Brown) and Diane (Marsai Martin) are now in eighth grade and face the difficulties of growing up; Junior (Marcus Scribner) is working for Migos as social media manager but still relies on his parents for everything; Pops (Laurence Fishburne) is getting married; Dre (Anthony Anderson) realizes he should educate himself on feminism when Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) takes her daughter to her feminist group. As the season progresses, the Johnsons face several challenges, but they manage to overcome them as a family.
