Jeff Foxworthy and Fox are revving up for an animated pilot about a dysfunctional family set in the world of NASCAR. The comedian, who's also host of the net's Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, is writing and producing the show with Nancy Hower and John Lehr (10 Items of Less), Variety says.Foxworthy will also be voicing one of the parts, but no other voice actors have yet been announced. Fox has announced the lineup for a celebrity edition of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, airing Sept. 6 as the hit quizzer's sophomore-season premiere, and benefiting charities. The A- and B-list names going for A+ scores are morning talk king Regis Philbin, American Idol alums Clay Aiken and Kellie Pickler, Extra's Billy Bush, skateboarder Tony Hawk and Miss America Lauren Nelson.

After Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? returns with a two-hour special on Sept. 6, the quiz show will air twice a week for a month. So besides new episodes every Friday, there will also episodes on Thursdays throughout September. However, I suspect that if you asked even a 4th grader, they'd tell you this smacks of overkill. (Does no one remember the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire phenom?)
